What is your earliest memory of reading?
I can think back to reading with my mother and father. I can not remember the book but i do remember reading together.
Who read to you? Did they read to you often?
My family all read to me. My mother , father, and brother. We also always read the bible together at night.
What was your favorite book as a child?
It was a book that my mother had made for me with my name in it. It had my name it and I loved hearing name in it.
Did you ever discover, love, and devour an entire series of books?
Yes, there was a whole series of book at my church.
Did you like to read as a child? Was reading a joy or a struggle?
I loved to read. I have always enjoyed to read and read often.
Did your teachers read aloud regularly? What books did they read?
Many of my teachers read out loud. Even all the way up to high school my teachers read out loud. I do not remember most of the books but, some times we would all read together or everyone might have a copy but only the teacher read.
Did a book ever make a difference in your life?
Yes, The book A Child Called it. It was a very life changing book and very sad.
Do you choose to read for pleasure now?
Yes, I love to read know and I am in the middle of reading The Green Mile right now.

  2. I find it outstanding that someone else was touched by the same book as me. A child called it was so moving and sad. I look at it from many different points of view and wonder how anyone could have turned a blind eye to David. So glad someone else has read the book.

    You mentioning that your family read the Bible together each night reminded me of when my mom and me use to read Bible Bedtime Stories before I went to bed. I use to love it. I like you also was touched by the booked A Child Called It. It is very sad to think that some kids actually have to go through that. That book is a good eye opening book.

  4. My parents also read the Bible to me each night when I was younger. I had a children's Bible that was easy for small children to understand. I also loved being read to when I got into school.
